Workshop for ESC volunteers VII.

"We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit." - Aristotle

I have been trying to build good habits again and again. No matter what I tried, I never succeed. After reading Charles Duhigg book "The Power of Habit: Why We Do What We Do in Life and Business", I finally discovered techniques to kick bad habits and hang on to the good.

Unfortunately, habits appear without our permission. Knowing how to change your habits means knowing how to manage your days, and focus on the behaviors that have the highest impact. I would like to share with you principles that give us the confidence to adapt to change, and the wisdom to take advantage of the opportunities that change creates (change of habits!). You do not need to be an optimist or a pessimist, but a possibilist!

During the workshop we will speak about:

  • What are habits?
  • How can we change habits?
  • How to break up a big goal into manageable pieces?
  • Why I need a habit tracker?
  • How does it work?
  • Why can change be so hard?
  • and many more habit related questions will be discussed
